"Should I be less ambitious? Maybe I’d feel more energised if I didn’t have such grandiose ideas."

Meet Christine,

She leads a multi-million euro organisation.

She’s competent, innovative, cares deeply for her people and has a proven track record of pretty incredible results (that she downplays her part in).

She’s seen her organisation through the toughest resource cuts over the years and it’s still going strong.

Christine is a natural visionary. She thinks globally and wants widescale impact - but wonders if she isn’t too much.

“Maybe I should just be less ambitious, lower my aspirations” she sighs.

“No matter how hard I work, I feel like I’m spinning wheels. There’s always more to do; I never seem to get it all done. Am I really having the impact I want? Am I really good enough to create it? Is it my ego that wants so much? ”

Christine’s visionary leadership has already impacted thousands of lives for the better worldwide – both within her organisation and all those who have benefitted from its work.

Christine, by her board’s and staff’s standards an inspiring, capable leader, is riddled with self doubt. That self-doubt has been eroding her resilience relentlessly over the years, depleting her energy and confidence.

Christine tries to squish herself down into the box her self doubt would put her in and it robs her of every gram of energy she has. But you should see her energy when she talks about possibility and impact! It skyrockets. She radiates luminosity, power and enthusiasm. This is what GROWS her resilience!!!!

Creative resilience Tip 1:

Vision is your non north star. Your guiding light. The ocean to your river of energy.

If Christine wants to grow her resilience, the counter intuitive pathway is not to shrink her ambition but to cultivate her big vision and nourish it with all her passion and artistry.

There are two things Christine needs to drop:

1) Her self doubt, which drains her energy. (Growing her community of other big visionaries is non negotiable for this!)

2) Her desire to do everything and be everything to everyone. Christine needs to focus on her strategy and allow others to do more of the operational aspects.

If you are undermining yourself and questioning if shouldn’t shrink your ideas to somehow feel better, join us on June 11th to recalibrate, reenergise and build a creative resilience strategy that will set you up for success.

With spirited resilient love,

Angela
